Riding Seas

Discovery of a greater joy
Unknown gales beat down upon weather bound sailors
Seen the world yet remembering few
As the Sea man reached the edge unchartered
Dispelling popular notions of conventions
Lived like a king yet exist as a pauper
While righting the deceit heaped upon us
By scrolls unrolled in the dead sea corner
Melodies of the strings overwhelm me
While inspiration of the soul sweeps over
As we stand
Tested
Pushed
Vexed
Drawing near from the underbelly of our emotions
Drifting apart on the high waves of misrepresentation
Common sense escapes our awareness
Grab hold of it
Reel them in
Yet we thrive in a world where saccharin numbs
And in a theatre, we twiddle thumbs
Beyond the mere touch
Lies THE deeper meaning of our union
The wonder of it
The pain of it
The reckless abadonment
The external commitment of
The great circle
The joy
We can feel it and touch it everyday
Or choose to ignore it and have no time to play
She makes me happy that I'm sure
Just afraid that all will be lost
When I perform my jester duties once again
I want to be the person that I am
Not pretend
To be a miscast statue of gold
That ornates the princess's chambers
How did I find myself here?
Explanations are for weak fools with predetermined marked borders
Enjoying the choppy waves while I ride the seas
Throwing up overboard just to see the beautiful sunrise unobstructed
By feelingless bricks and cement structures
That give us our daily bread
We submit ourselves once again
Land, HO~!!

Planetarium

It is apparently written
In a cosmic plain not far away
The bonds that tie signal a new beginning
From way back and yet memories are fading
Look
Long
Hold
Desire and
Finally coming to terms with the fact
That she's here to stay
Bringing incomprehensible joys
That delights my very existence
Sending me into sweet delirium
Of a free spiritedness
State of equilibrium
I seek not the physical comfort of warm arms
Strong embrace and lingering kisses
Wrinkles soon dictate our bio nature
And yet this psychological path stays strong
And yield not to the physiological weakness
Of men trapped in
Hopeless
Mindless
And senseless heat
Of pinoy wastefulness
As we grow old
As the white takes over the jet
As the silver steams forth without compassion
We shall look into each other's eye
Whip the fledglings
Reign in the wild horses
And go back to seminary school
Touch our faith
And walk our twilight years
With sand on our feet
And wind in our hair
While the sheer material flows in the air
We recall the joyous past
That has passed thru our beings like the markings on the wall
Staining us with pleasurable delights
As the one we know as god wields his might
We succumb then
Not to question but to believe
That this spirit between us that is too good to be true
Is here to stay
As we may
Lay
Six feet under
It doesn't matter
Cosmic is as cosmic can be
You have set me free

Odie

Turn back the hands
To those happy sorrows
Push forth the fort
In bright springtime May
To those joyful ironies
Of days set free
Through the passage of time
But a function of the
Biological grime
Imprison me in your faith
As we walk along with
Unreserved grace
Stars spell the signs
As silver streaks
Purposefully unwind
Grow old with me
Counting the days
As we walk through
The limitless winds
Beating down upon our beings
With divine blessings
