Bed of roses

Italiano living in Americano
Said it best
In the line after mentioning his mistress
We live in a world
Close knitted
Seldom alone
And yet, there are times
When we feel so isolated
Ignored
Neglected
And forgotten
Living in solitude in the city centre
Fellowship with emptiness while with friends we banter
Partners come
And partners go
Partners they fool me
Many time fold
Professing emotional bonds
That will stand the test of time
And yet with a brush of the hand
All our good deeds unwind
Into the lower decks
Hit by an iceberg
Ship slowly sinking
And you'll never be heard
What should I do?
Where should I head?
Lies like poisonous arrows
As my poor heart bled
Dried of all lifeforce
Sapped of all juice
Bring our sorrows to the fore
As our souls are abused
